Photo London

chung photoI’ve been hanging out a bit lately in the Camera Cafe, a small cafe in the Bloomsbury section of London next to the British Museum. It’s a cool place because, as it’s name implies, it’s married to a camera shop, has a pleasant atmosphere with good food and drink, and free wireless to boot. With the acquisition of a Nikon D100, I’ve been getting back into photography and it’s been fun hanging out with other photographers and taking in the scene.

So today, I was hanging out cruising flickr and drinking some tea when I see someone quite familiar sitting at the next table. It turns out it’s Dan Chung, who is a photographer for The Guardian, who I recognized from his appearance on the BBC show ”A picture of Britain”. Some googling and turns out he was also recognized as Photographer of the Year by the British press. Cool guy, great photographer. Hopefully I’ll run into again. That’s his picture attached to the entry.
