Damn it’s cold.

graspingMoving to London from Colorado, you suddenly realize how much a difference relative humidity makes in how “cold” it feels. Here in London, if the temperature gets into the low 30s, you feel a penetrating chill in your bones that’s really hard to shake. It’s the damp, man.

Anyway, my 3 month programming gig has wound up to its inevitable end and now I’m looking at about 2 weeks until we head back to the States for the holidays. Christmas in Minnesota. Hmm, last time I was there for Christmas, it was 20 below. I think we’re going in the wrong direction here.

For anyone that’s tracking this, I’ve decided to go to China for 2006 and study internal martial arts as a full-time student in Beijing learning Yiquan (mind/intent boxing). That’s Yao Cheng Guang, the third generation inheritor of the system. Yes. I’m thrilled and freaked out simultaneously. It’s an interesting feeling.
