Home at last…
The jet lag is starting to wear off (although I was wide awake at the rather early-ish hour of 6am this morning), but I’m making progress. Some initial observations: Chicago is a cool city with a lot of character and seems slightly less overrun by all the chain stores and restaurants that are taking over the rest of America these days. We’ve explored Wicker Park, some of Lincoln Park and a bit of downtown. But it is so extremely cold right now. Windy City indeed. Brr. While doing some Christmas shopping on Michigan Ave., Zoe and I stopped into the apple store and took a quick picture on one of their 24” iMacs (inset). It’s good to be home.
Earlier in the day, we stopped in for one of her pre-natal check-ups and we heard the baby’s heartbeat for the first time. All I can say is, wow, that was pretty cool.
