Good reads
Cory Doctorow has a write-up on BoingBoing today about Ariel: “a post-apocalyptic sword-and-sorcery adventure that rocked my world.” What follows is a great description of what appears to be a fantastic fantasy novel that I somehow missed over the years (It’s coming soon, thanks Amazon). He first read it when he was 12 and subsequently has re-read it multiple times. That got me thinking that there are just some books that are just so enjoyable that they are treasured and the same dog-eared copy is read over and over again. I have some in my library; the Lord of the Rings trilogy comes to mind among others, but I was wondering what other people liked to read… have any classics you’d like to recommend?
